Need Help With Distrubtor

What does it mean when your Distrubtor starts making noise? Kind of a rattling, loose noise.

I've actually got a problem w/ mine as well, never got it fixed . so now my car doesnt start at times.. i think its the o-ring at the portion that connects to the camshaft, is there any other seal on the inside of the distributor that i should be checking,,,

i'm getting oil in my cap :-/ and i'm misfiring.

Mine started doing that a couple years ago. Driving around one day the distributor blew out. Turned out it was because the bearing had failed. Got it fixed back then and have not had a problem since. I say replace the cap and rotor and you should be fine.

Have to replace the distributor. Mine threw both of those codes and I replaced the cap and rotor and wires. Didn't help. Had to replace the whole thing. Then you know my other story behind the distributor.
