Need Help ASAP Please

I have a 92 Prelude Si with JDM H22 recently my car has had a hard time starting like it will crank over and then the rpms will drop and the car dies. Then after that it wont crank over for a while, but when I try to start it sometimes the check engine light comes on then I put the car in the off position the light doesnt come on at all. But after a while it starts up just fine. And this all happens once in a while. I dont know what is wrong my spark plugs are good, I didnt find any fuel leaks anywhere. I just dont know. My cars orginial miles is 138045 but the motor is about 30 - 40 miles. Please could someone help me out.

don't know howto fix it but mine does the same thing. I think it might be one of the sensors tho cuz my unce shot some ether in the intake when i first put my new engine in and that might have screwed it up

Just jump the service connector and get the check engine code. If you're using your h23a injectors on your h22a, you'll get a CEL.

Erm hello did this post get missed?

The CEL light believe it not is useful, I've only just spent a day or so sorting mine out.

Even when you shut the car off and it goes out the ECU remembers it, use the diagnostics cable to get the code.

Because its going out it means its not a critical error, it could be the same as mine and be an EGR fault, this could cause problems on your idle.

Check that CEL though ok
