Ok, so if some of u people remember about 2 weeks ago a chick backed into me, didnt have insurance blah blah. So OF COURSE shes dead beat, damn BIT*h, and so my dad is getting lawyers involved and stuff, but anyways... 2night i was installing my new system, and i was taking the fender off anyways to run the wire. So i decided "hell, i'll try to restore this thing, untill i have the money to get a new one, or she finally pays up. So i start knocking the dent out, and it started to look DAMN good. NOW theres just lil dents all in a certain section. Almost like hail.. how can i straighten these out?
You can't really tell where the lil dents are, but they're there. I think i can buff alot of the scuffs out, but it will need to be painted, which works out since im planning on doing a full paint job in the near future.
Any help would be AWESOME!!!
Thanks, Alex.
To say the least, I am very impressed with the job I have done on my fender. Heres the b4 pics
And after pics.
the light spots u see are just where the paint is faded, u cant really see that in real life, bc there is no flash, but thats just from the paint being 10 years old, y im getting paint job, the whole car is faded pretty bad... but that was a SMALL part of my late week project more pics of my REAL project to come this weekend.
Alex.
You'll need to take the fender back off the car and hammer it gently from the front with a 10 dollar dolly block on the back. THhat will get the larger dents out. Then take a grinder and grind the hell out of the surface of the area, at least 4 inches in each direction from the damage. Then bondo, grind, bondo, spot putty, prime, sand, spot putty, prime, sand, prime, color sand, paint, clear coat. That is the professional way. It's not that hard.
