I have a 92 preldue, with a newer clarion HU, I am getting aweful reception, and it isnt the HU cause i also had a Pioneer in it, I changed the antenna mast because the old one didnt go all the way down, and the new one still doesnt go all the way down, but that isnt the problem, i want better reception. would changing the entire power antenna make a difference? If not has anyone ever mounted a fixed antenna and did it look good?

You could get a signal booster for your antenna. I used to have a fixed antenna and I hated the way it looked. I really wish that the 4th gens came with a antenna that is installed into your rear window like the 5th gen. The mast when it's fully extended really ruins the curves of the car IMO.
