need help on 95 Se

Since i was a little boy i wanted a prelude i saved up my money and finally got one. It is a 95 special edition it has a 2.3 non vtec. It smokes a little when i start it up im pretty sure its a valve seal. Does any one know how much it would cost to rebuild the whole head.

you can get used heads from ebay for relatively cheap. Most people will say its cheaper to buy something else (motor) rather than rebuild it. If I were you, I would buy a used head, rebuild it myself, then replace your current one.

Before guessing at the problem, you should properly diagnose it first. Make sure it's a valve seal.

Being that i will be 15 years tomorrow. I was hopeing for suggestions to help me fix the problem. If I knew how to properly diagnose the problem I would not be asking for help.

If you do what mooney is suggesting, it wouldnt be bad idea to consider the h22 head.

nice car - nice color. I like it

Give it some thought. You could always slap a VTEC head on there, but that may cause more problems than you want - I have a few opinions about that. I'll share those after I get back from the mountains.

Tail of the Dragon and Blue Ridge Parkway - here I come. (I'll be in the Honda Fit Sport, not the Prelude)

you just need the 2.2 head and a p13 ecu. Do research on here and on honda-tech to figure out exaclty what goes into it.

Expect anywhere between 300-500 bucks for a rebuild.
