Need Headlight wires/harnesses/sockets

When I got my JDM headlights, they only came with the bulbs. I didn't get the wires or harnesses or whatever they are called. Where can I get these? Would I be able to find them at any auto store like Murrays or Autozone? or do I have to get them from somewhere online? Any help appreciated, I need them by this weekend.

Edit: I only need the harnesses that the bulbs plug into, not the whole harness kit that nicludes fuses and other things.
Thanks you

actually you can find harnesses for the bulbs at autozone. just look for the 3 prong harness (9003/H4) for @$3.00 each. last time i went, they had them where the bulbs are. it should work with h4's and i'm pretty sure it will with the h1's as well. you may want to try the harness on the h1 bulb before buying 2 more.

H4 are lows (outer) and H1 are highs (inner) ?? or are the h1 driving lights and H4 high/low ?

From reading the threads, I guess the true JDM way is H4 lows and H1 highs which is the same as stock basically (in the US at least). That's how I have mine wired up.

if that is the case, What do they use the highbeam part for then ? cause if u wire it like u say, you have a extra filament on your h4s that is completely unused! its like lightin up 2 lights when u can light up 3 all at once. And if u look at the h1s, they really do act as fogs, cause they bright up bout up to 10 feet in front of the car. Where are high beams are supposed to light up wayyy more than that, my stock highs would bright up 50 feet ahead, even more i guess some people do wire the regular way, which i think is pointless when u have an extra filament, which is really the high beam filament. I got mine wired h4s /highs and lows, and h1s to a switch and relay as fogs and daytime running wired to the ignition. ( now i dont have to turn on my instruments during the day when its rainin or fog, plus it looks nice hehe)

Back to topic, the h4 socket i got from autozone are called heavy duty sockets made my APC or 3A. ii m using higher wattage bubls, and i heard on here that a lot of people had probems with the melting and stuff. So i went on and got some. 10$ each, and they are really thick sockets, with thicker gauge wire then stock to withstand the heat. Ive nad no melting at all. sockets still look brand new. Here is a link to my install pics, and and a pic of the h4 harness wired to the highs and lows, and the h1s on a different wiring.

hope this helps a bit.

^^^ The H1's in my car are really bright and light up the road as much as my stock lights did. Maybe yours aren't aimed right. I don't think they use the other filament on the H4's in JDM cars. The headlights that you buy with the harnesses only have two wires coming off of them, therefore only one filament is used.

I see what your saying, but one thing I cant really see clearly from the pics is the wiring.
to the H4 - the high and low, What wires did you connect to it?
Same for the H1, which wires did you connect to that one.
Also, what kind of relay did you use for the H1's.

Thanks, Im installing my JDMs either tomorrow or saturday and I might do what you did if its pretty simple.

Ok, for the h4s socket, the colors might fool u a bit, thats just how i wanted my harness to sit without wires being tangle up. the top part of the socket, is expected to be the ground, it will not accept anything else but the ground. I didnt know that at first and blew a few fuses. So if you hold your socket facing like in the pic, the left side of it, which here has a black wire, is connected to the positive of the lowbeams. The right side of the harness on the pic is connected to the positive of the highbeams using the blue wire. And the top is the ground, using the white wire. As far as the h1s, i baught a fog light wiring kit at autozone for 20 bucks ( pilot i think it was) it comes with a heady duty switch, (thick gauge wire ), a relay, and the wireing harness. all i did was wire it like they showed in the instructions, and i baught those lilttle connecter (yellow) that u see in the pic from autozone, and added a a bit of wire to the end of the harness to connect it to the adapter for the h1s. The fog light wiring kit is pretty simple, if u know how to read, u ll be able to install it. Then you wire your swtich to what ever power source you want. I chose to wire mine to the cigarrete lighter, cause i found out that power goes through it only when the ignition is on, so since i dont smoke, i cut it, and use it as my power source. So basically i keep the switch in the ON position at all times, and its only get juice when i start the car, which completes my daytime running lights wiring. If i dont want the lights on, when im parked, and just want to listen to the radio, i just flip the switch off, so it doesnt drain my battery. , and i hid the swtich somewhere, wher only 1 of my fingers can reach it haha.

I dont have JDMS, i have euro type lights, 2 piece. The way mind are made, i cant aim them. they are automatically aimed in the right direction. So its always perfect, and never blinds anyone. I just installed em, and lit em up, and they pointed perfect and evenly. And yea, about the filment, i guess so, mine only came with the h1 adapter and the stock bubls, i wasnt gonna use em anyway, i needed heavy duty sockets for my bulbs so stop the meltin, so i dont kno if both filments are used, but if you say so, you are right. I just wired everything cause it was simple. and i wanted daytime runnin lights instaed of always havin to turn my instruments on durin the day.

I tried mine on while I had time. but I connected the ground to one of the ones on the side and the headlights still worked, but I will definitely give it a try tomorrow and see if it works.

Thanks man.
