Navigation Placement

Just kind of curious where some of y'all keep your navigation (tomtom's, navigon, etc.) at. I just bought a 4.3" TomTom screen and am trying to think of a good place for it. Here's what I've come up with...

*Either the Top-Left part of windshield for easy access OR

*drill a hole in the center of the left dash speaker slot that leaves just the navigation mounting piece barely sticking thru (also for easy access). Unfortunately I can't make it flush becuase the TomTom power button is on the top, not the front, but it will be right up against the speaker cover. *Note: I have smaller aftermarket tweeters that will remain unaffected.

i just use the window mount and take it off when i park and put it under my seat, people around here look for navi's in cars for a easy jack and if they just see the mount they know the unit is probably inside too, it happens quite a bit in store parking lots.

I ussually keep it suction cupped to the window, in the bottom left corner. When not in use I remove the entire unit mount and all. Another idea that works with Garmin Units is to use the special adhesive disk and mounting the disk near the temp gas gauges on the underside of the plastic trim on the dash. Then using the suction cup mount to mount to the disk.
