nasty fluctuating idle

i did a swap into my 96 accord with and h22a1 and i am having fluctuating idle problems. i check all my vacuums and gaskets and everything is good. i bought a new iacv and that seems to have not done anything... anyone have any ideas that may be of any help??

try bleeding your coolant system. Bleed nipple is below the distributer cap.

would that help?? i just threw in fresh water fluid and everything... i rebuilt the whole motor from ground up

Remove the intake tube and while its surging plug the bottom hole on the inside of the TB and if it stops you have a bad IACV if it doesn't you have either a vacuum leak, manifold gaskets or your ECM could do because it also is capable of throttle control i believe. Some people say you FTV valve on the bottom of the throttle body could be the cause. Hope this helped some.

No it wouldn't... I just like to spread unhelpful information

Do a search and see if anyone else has ever mentioned this. Oh wait, I'll save you the 30 seconds. Yes, people have mentioned this. Yes, it is a common cause of idle fluctuation. And yes, it might help seeing you JUST PUT FLUID IN AN EMPTY SYSTEM! OMG.

Try using the search function next time...

lol haha my bad but thanks and as far as the iacv i know its not bad i spent 230 for it so its brand new... lol didnt have to be so harsh bbylude.... lol funny **** though thanks for the help and i will keep you guys posted when i bleed the coolant see if it helps or not

ya let me know, I was going threw that issue on my H23 and oddly enough it just kinda stopped. Of course after i went threw all this hell with it.

try changing your FITV. that was the problem on my accord and my prelude

i bled the coolant and it didnt change a thing i think its the FITV.

if you think it is the fitv, take it off and clean it. or take a multimeter and check it.

yeah i think i might change it that **** is old!!! lol time to get a new one... but just out of curiosity how do you check it... i took it out to clean it up and idk where i would begin to look at it with a multimeter
