N1 or WS exhaust

hey! guys

I know this question has been asked again and again...but I'm really can't make up my mind right now whether go for N1 or the WS. My question is that I lowed my car (Koni yellows and Sportline) and dont want to beat up my exhaust like others did (the reason cuz the exhaust hang really low)

Anyway, any one has a clear picture of this 2 types exhausts on their car ..please post it here ...I really need to see them so I can make better decision. Please help guys

Thanks in advance

The N1 hangs really low. So you might want to reconsider that. Is sound an issue?

Yeah! I heard that the N1 hangs much lower than the WS...However i heard that the WS also doesnt fit that well on prelude. I would say that sound isn't really a big factor but I dont wan it too lound and annoying, you know.

Anyways, anywant has a pic. of these exhaust on their car Please post !!!!!!!!

hey Crate ! I saw your pic ...but couldn't see it closely though...here is my question ...how low is your ride? and did you beat up your N1 exhaust very often (cuz it hangs low)? Also what kind of exhaust is on the black prelude on your site Crate? I really like the Greddy SP but i dont think they have it for 2.3L Prelude which i had. Another thing is that what can of modification i have to do to make it fit on my car if i decide to get the Greddy SP? Do you know where i can get it with discount price Crate?

thanks

N1

I heard that the N! decresed some of your low-end torque. Not sure if it's true. I was debating on the N1 as well

experience with my universal Apex-i N1 with 2.25 piping and no resonator. this is the NA application not the turbo one.

with out silencer:
-really loud. probably the loudest muffler.
-instantly felt the difference. revs faster and gained high end pwr
-so loud that you can get a headache after driving around for hrs
-sounds really nice and deep compared to a fireball

with silencer
-sounds like a fireball
-not as loud but i dont think it'll pass the db level cuz a vehicle inspection shop said that its still loud even with the silencer on it.
-gained low-end torque instantly

overall im ok with the silencer on it but im going to replace it since its considered illegal in vancouver.

I have a greddy sp on my car it doesn't scrape much only on a really steep driveway. You can get the SP to fit on your car only thing you'll have to do is drill one of the holes on the piping larger. The cat on the h22a and h23a are different sizes but one you drill the hole bigger on the pipe it will line up, we're not talking a lot of drilling either. Heres a picture of it on my car sorry the quality or angle isn't that great.

Let's see it's not as loud as the N1. I got mine for 400 at a local shop. I didn't have time to install it my self 50 bux for them to do the drilling and install it. So for 450 out the door.

Difference between PE and SP
SP 2.25 inch piping oval muffler
PE 2.5 inch piping larger round muffler

Pictures (note these are from the greddy web site and are not car specific applications not for the prelude) Just to give you an idea of what the muffer looks like.

SP

PE

hey spin_r_g

thanks again for the helpful info.

I see what you r talking about ..the PE's end pipe looks kinda biger and similar to the EVO design, I guess. Wow! thats a good price on greddy exhaust though. Also, just to making sure one last time that there is no leak sound after you drilled the pipe to fit on the SI right sprin_r_g?

Well, I figure I will most likely get the SP for my 92 Si...Anyone knows where i can get it online with that price $400 or $450 with shipping included?? Please help me out guys.

The best price that I got from groupbuy.com is $460...so, if you know where can beat that...please let me know

Thanks

No leak.. all you're doing is adjusting for the positioning of the bolts on the cat. A lot of people do this, it's safe no worries.
