My Quarter mile times

I hit a 16.695 at 83 miles per hour last night. I didn't think it was toooo bad since I drive an auto H23 with only an intake. I had my 17" Tenzo's with full interior and stereo. Not to mention some other misc. crap in my rear seat. I am going again next Thursday but putting on the stockies and taking out all my stereo crap. Might take out the rear seats to see the times. Any other suggestions on what I could take out?

Taking out the rear seats won't help. They weigh maybe 5 pounds between the both of them. For every 60 pounds you lighten the car, it should run a tenth of a second quicker.

All those things will help your time some but an auto si will never be fast w/out a lot of money put into it. As far as weight reduction to cut 1/4 mile et the amount needed to lower your time .1 seconds depends on the weight of the car. Somewhere between 60-100 is about right.

Well I only ran last night cause I am putting turbo and a five speen swap here in the next month. I wanted to know my times before and after. That's why I'm not too dissappointed with my times. I beat a teg last night tho. Good thing he wasn't spraying. He cut 3.5 seconds with his bottle open.

I have no idea. I saw him run around a 13.5 on his first run. The last time I ran him he ran app. 17.25. Do the tracks ever mess up on the slips? I don't think he was pushing it when I raced him.

When I race I like to take out the passenger seat, the rear seats, rear side panels, and a big brace that goes from side to side behind the rear seats. I've weighed all this stuff and found it to be almost 100 lbs.(including all bolts). My best time has been a 15.11, if I had slicks I know I would be in the 14's.

I wouldn't bother removing the back seats or back panel pieces. They weigh almost nothing. I just remove the passenger seat and spare tire/tools.
