My project

Ok i have a 92 prelude i bought wrecked from my friend that has been through hell. First the original motor was blown (h23a that was super fast) so he swapped it for an f22b (bleh) which is whats in it now... i miss the hp. Then he tried to take it around a banked 90 degree turn doin about 100mph and rolled it ao it has serious body damage. Still runs though ive had a few mechanical problems but it was all just blown hoses and some overheating issues. Anyways i bought it because i had no choice i needed to go to work but i am now in love with the damn thing and i decided to make it a "street legal" race car (ive been pulled over at least 5 times for no reason other than driving a beat up LOUD red car) so heres my idea and if any1 has some suggestions or knows of places in washington state to get some of this work done that would be helpful....

Ok first thing im doin is buyin a 92 lude with a blown motor for the body and tranny and swap my f22b into that so i have a daily driver for now.. Then im gonna buy an h23a rebuild and work on that build the motor up as much as possible and (this is where i ran into some problems) get a lightweight chassis (i am gonna try and contact skunk2 and see if i can work something out with them cause i dont want to have it custom built for $10k) im gonna redo the interior and just have the 2 front seats and remove everything that isnt legally required and try and lower the weight as much as possible. the car weighs approx. 2900lbs and i can still push 125 with 140hp. i dont know about putting a turbo in it i think if i drop the weight enough i wont need one and i dont wanna take the risk of blowing a motor that im gonna dump alot of money into. Anyways like i said if anyone has some tips or advice that would help alot im gonna be doin this over a few years tho i dont make a ton of money so it will be awhile anyways thx

1. do something within your budget.

2. Search the forums, there is tons of information out there.

3. Why not put a h22 in there? Even if you bought a junk f22 + mods or h23 + mods, the cost will not overcome even a stock h22.

^you read wrong.

The h22's are the most easily "tuned" engines between all the available prelude engines.

The most R&D has gone to the aftermarket of the h22.

I believe you read this wrong too, it's just the motor they're selling you for $10k. Not the turbocharger, plumbing, intercooler, etc. and not the tuning or tuning software. Stroking a motor requires so many modifications to it, that its just that expensive. The rest of those other mods will, if you're lucky, cost you another $10k.

I honestly have to see a picture of this car that was rolled and you still drive it, I can't believe it!
