My Lude project update (w/pics)

It's been a few months since my last update. Since I have torn down the exterior and got the first coat of primer on. I am now in the process of doing all my suspension. Nuespeed Race Springs, OEM Struts, Energy Suspension urethane bushings, SPC Adjustable Ball Joints, NSX Calipers, Ceramic brake pads, and new rotors. Once that is down it will get an alignment and go back in the paint booth to be wet sanded and primed again.

Here's the pics:

By the way it is a lot of friken work, and yes my interior is stripped.

Is that a Camber adjusting Ball joint?... I would stay way from those.. That nut on top tends to bang into the top of the fender making all sorts of nasty noise and leaving dents....

<edit> Opp. sorry missed reading that part in your list... I still think you might have trouble with it tho...

looks like youre makin some progress, just to let you know it makes the poly bushings install easier if you have a press to get the old bushings out.

Good luck

Grant- have you personally experienced this? Everyone I've talked to said it should be ok, and from what I've measured they should clear. dunno could be wrong

red92s- yes bushing installs suck

cantdrive55- yes bodywork sucks

irishpilot- i prefer a torch

I also got to drive it about 3 miles just like it is, no bumpers, hood, fenders, lights of any kind, sunroof, or plates. (with the wheels on of course) and man did it feel fast, but it's the first time I'd driven it in two months, but compared to the Focus it should be.

One of the TPC mechanics with a Prelude tried it (he tries everything new it seems)... That's what he told me. (becasue it was an option when I had to replace my camber kit)

When I looked, it seemed to be really tight with a lowered car.. stock height it'll be fine... I track with a significantly lowered suspension so I preferred not to take the risk..

well I'll have to look into this some more before I install them, I'm a dealer for SPC so it won't be a problem finding something else. But now that I think about it that is what SPC recommends for lowered cars.

Maybe it was an isolated incident.. either way I'd like to know or even proven wrong in this case becasue I wouldn't mind trying it if and when my upper ball joint goes..
