thanks for the thoughts guys. i am glad that no one got hurt too. my insurance company is going to give me what i owe on the car, so i am going be stuck without a car, and no money for a down payment . im not sure what i am going to do. i want another lude, but i dont think i am going to be able to afford it . i think i might try something with a turbo. not many options out there tho, and i dont like the Eclipses. oh well im sure it will work out somehow, you never know i might find a sick deal on a Lude and be able to get it .

That sucks to hear. Good to hear you're okay though. Look on the bright side. At least it wasn't your fault. When I wrecked my 3rd gen., it was all my fault. No one else was even involved. Everything came crashing down on me. Then I got a better car, and everything's cool now. My insurance co. gave me almost 7g's for my 3rd gen. They incorporated money for all the mods I had done. I got lucky I guess.

Also, if you want a cheap turbo car, go with a Silvia, or the US equivalent: 240sx.

Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

How hard it is to total a Prelude? I saw that the crash tests were bad, but after all - WHO buys a car just to wreck it?

Heck, that's how I got my 'lude - some yuppie in a Land Rover ran a red, and at 40mph I t-boned him in my 1990 Geo Prizm. A cop on the corner saw the whole thing, and said it was entirely his fault (duh), two months later I got an amazing deal on my Prelude ($2600!!!). So keep your eyes open man, they're out there. If not, a 240SX would be a neat car to work on, like someone pointed out.... dump in an SR20DET... ::drool::

sorry to hear...i almost got side swipped on the Skukill (SUREkill) expressway a few hours ago. some ass was doing like 85 in the right lane and someone came off the on ramp and he almost swerved into me. I swear, where so some people get their liscense from, the back of a cereal box? As long as my frame isn't bent, the insurance will never total my lude...I wont let the bastards. I can't see myself ever letting this car go....even after i move on to bigger faster cars.
