My lifter fell out (H23)

Well, after having alot of problems with ticking coming from my valve cover and a couple of vavle jobs that didn't fix the problem I finally took a really close look at my valve train today(cars been on jackstands for a month, this is one of many problems being fixed) Well as it turns out on my #1 cylinder one of the lifters was actually off the center of the retainer, it was pushing down on the side of the retainer, instead of the middle. So, naturally I tried to move it back in to place and instead it popped right out.

So, anyone know anyway to get it back on there without removing my exhuast cam? I really do not have the time/resources to take the whole cam out. I'd really apreciate some help on this, I'm at my wits end.

the exhaust cam is fairly easy to remove and install, as with the intake cam. If it is a H23 than you only need to remove the one cam. If you are H22 then you have to take them both out. But it is so easy to do.

can I do it without removing my timing belt? That's the big fear here. It'd be REALLY tough to get that back on there.

so before you did all this when driving around your engine , it was extremely noisey ... like all this kinda.. i guess clutter noise from the engine bay to describe it consitently and getting higher pitched/faster if you revved it but still consistently more annoyingly noisey ??

my car's got that... :\

Nope, it was more like a, I think that is just Honda Fuel injection but, it's louder than everyone else's. Kind of sound. I really thought it was just a sort of bad valve until I found the problem.

About removing the cams, can anyone on here get me torque specs for the cam bolts. Looks like I'll be unbolting that beast, and haveing the proper torque/order would be the first logical step.
