my latest project....MORE pics posted*

i had the fake cf taillights and wasnt really happy with them, so i took them apart to paint them. while it was apart i got some other ideas... i repainted it black, and added a piece in front of the bottom part so it wasnt so bright, AND did a full LED swap into the light! they are friggin bright as hell, especially under braking...i am really happy with them, if anyone is interested, i also took pics for a write-up, but i dont want to do it unless someone else needs it...

Tell us about this. I'd like to put in clear LEDs that light up red after I clear my 5th gen tail flashers. Did you just use the prefab led bulb units, or did you create your own led panel. If so, what leds and transistors did you use?

i actually use an LED brake light made for 18 wheel trucks.. it has 56 LEDs. I had to hack the top red part off though to make it fit and make it brighter...and man is it bright!

NO i had to hunt them down! i had the lights apart and i was thinking of a way to get the LED thing going, and the only place i remember seeing them was on buses and trucks...so i called around but didnt find anything. then about a month later i had my gf ask her trucker dad if he knew anything about them, he provided the hook up at a local shop, and they work great! also they were under 50 bucks for the pair

It's probably from the Canadian Civic SiR, which is the Civic Si in the US...could have just got one from BC....

That looks really cool. I’m impressed, looks really good with the black car. You get 5 stars for imagination.
