my idea for new taillights, spin on altezzas

Take this tail light and insert the orange rectangle back in (the part most guys try to take out)

while with a stripe of orange

what do you think
can someone photoshop that and slap it on a silver lude?

Those aren't altezzas, those are just plain old clear tail lights. I don't think it'd look so hot either.

ditto.

I was thinking about replacing the stock orange piece with the altezza clear piece. Just the turn signal

There is a dropped silver 4th gen at my school and it has those clears. I remember I saw it the day they were brand new. two weeks later they were piss yellow. fittiment looks like crap also.

How about clear turns and all red on top??? How does that look? I was going to do that with my Altezzas!!! Any way to photo-shop that??? I know there was a picture here somewhere of the Altezzas colored red on top...Where did they go???

Like this but with turn and reverse cleared out...I saw it done with an Altezza before

if you can get the rounded piece inside the altezzas and stick it in the clear one, it would give off a red light, and then stick the yellow lens in the signal slot.

then it would be half way legal here in texas

I had the clears, they fitted quite well actually. But, they too turned a slight yellowy colour after time. Also, the brake light was useless when the sun was behind you. Only because of the brake light in the wing did people manage to see when I was braking!

hmm.. why don't u all just get the stock ones and just take out the amber and have it red and white? i think that would look cleaner. other than than, i think altezza lights suck and are plaid out... just get a REAL tail light conversion....

Exactly!!! Thanks for posting that...Just use lens paint for that when I get the lens off right??? Or I could let a PRO like you do it for me!!! Hmmmmm, the latter sounds easier!!!

I took the altezzas round piece and the clear piece and put them on the stockers. Looks good, I think.

So those were stockers that you cleared and put the Altezza lens inside also??? Looks very nice!!!

What's going to happen when the cleared tails get played out though??? Then it's time for a conversion of some kind!!! This car crap is never ending!!!
My friend asked me once,"Do you know how to make a SMALL fortune out of building a race car??? Start with a BIG one!!!"

Thank you for saying what I was thinking, as I read this thread. Conversions are LAME. Most people who do them just sell their cars on e-bay. Bondo cracks, and cutting into your body just doesn't seem smart. Conversions are for trailer queens...cars that hardly run the streets.

Couldn't you get about the same affect by putting the stock lens on in place on the altezza clear one?
