I always thought about doing this, but figured it wouldnt look nice. But damn, i was totally wrong. Good work. How did you manage to get the corner lights covering off? And what type of paint did you use?

To tell you the truth the look EXACTLY like JDM's IMO. Wow thats amazing.

I have a feeling this trend is going to catch on around here, just like the removing orange from stock tail lights.

Sweet mod, and sweet car.

This was a pain, until i figured out what to do. You have to heat the back side of the corner light until it really starts to melt. THen let it cool and then use a screw driver and start prying it open. It took me a while to figure out how that this is the only way it'll work. YOu have to be very cafeful, i chipped the edges a couple of times....

I used taymia(spelled wrong, i think) Model paint, glossy, I got this from a friend but you can get it from any hobby shop

I would try the film, but i dunno, you might get alot of bubbles, When i was doing the corner lights it would bubble alot, i had to cut little slits in the tint to allow it to overlap.....

i never used spray tint before....

I will post up some directions later this week, right now i got this big EE project....

that is so nice. i thought you were going to paint the center peice in between the two bulbs. now that i saw what it will look like i think i might do that soon. so is that model paint holding up to the bulbs heat? i know that you were going to use high temp paint but that model paint looks really nice too. did you paint and put the tint on the outside or inside the lense? hard to tell from just a pic. i have to say tho that is so freakin nice.
