my futile attempt at a camera mount

http://community.webshots.com/album/23597947gIqBmFKRKx

last six pictures of the lot.

i bought the bracket from home depot. 1.88. the bracket itself is very sturdy, heavy duty tool hanger. its the frame that its bolted to, it has some give to it which lets the assembly shake. the bracket is bolted into factory holes in that frame.

in the last picture you see my makeshift stabilizer. yes, thats a breaker bar with a shallow 19mm socket. ya its ghetto, but IT WORKED! but alas, i need something better as to not get heckled...more than i already am.

so, ideas people. let me have them. or if you have a better design altogether. h23ludedude has another mount i know, anything else?

Honestly, mine is real easy and you only have to drill 1 small hole. The shot was perfectly stable. It looks good too IMO. By the way, what lens do you have on there and how do you like it? (price?)

ya i might still do your method. i didn't drill any holes into my car. just that bracket which is chump change.

the lens. i've no idea. i just lent the camera out today. when i get it back i'll let you know. its a wide angle lens that was acquired with a 5 finger discount. it was one of those cheapy $40 lenses at the local camera shop. i used it on the camera when mounted in the car cause the position of the bracket kinda pushed the shot forward. the lens lets me get all of the windshield action with the dash and a hint of the shifter.

I was just messin with you dude, don't take it to heart. I actually think my painted rims are pretty sh*tty looking, my tires aren't that great and there was never a point where I thought I was the sh*t .

He's not the first, there's more who admires it... I'm not one of them ... jk dude.

Oh btw, I don't think I'm running this Sunday, too many problems with my car...

The engine noise isn't that bad, it's my brakes that's bothering me. Having pressure problems (if you read my post in the general board), and now I'm having some weird noise from my rear passenger side brakes. It's drivable, but I don't know if I wanna run in this weekend. I'll most likely be there though.
