My exhaust: R.I.P - Honda Prelude Forum

Just got the brakes fixed on the lude last week, and took it down to a church around here that lets kids cruise and hang out on Sat. night. Well, we were leaving, and being as the church has a HUGE parking lot, I decided to take the lude around back to play. I drove it around like twice, and dogged the hell out of it. I was slamming gears, screeching tires, the whole 9 yards. (Damn, it was fun). But, on the way back home, my exhaust, which was kinda loud to begin with due to a hole near the header, got REALLY REALLY loud. I got out there this morning, and my exhaust pipe had dislocated itself from the header. Now the poor thing sounds like an airplane taking off. The only good thing is that now I have an excuse to get the muffler that I really want.

AHAHA. Sorry, it sounded funny. Atleast you had fun with youe exhaust while it was on it's last leg.
Any ideas of what you are going to get???

It IS pretty funny, even to me....I DID have fun with it, too bad it's gonna be a week before I can get it fixed. As far as what I'm gonna get, I'm not sure of the brand, but it's gonna be a dual-tip exhaust with the tips that angle upwards. I just think those look awesome on the lude. A guy in my car club works at a parts store, and he's gonna get me a discount.....(it pays to have connections). In the meantime, I have to watch how heavy I hit the gas, or I'm gonna get a ticket for having a too-loud exhaust....still think it's funny, even though it's not.
