My Dyno =)

I recently had my car dynoed. Made 153.8 hp and 150.1 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels. It was done in 90-degree weather with humidity at the same. I had on my 21.5lb Si rims and my hot air intake since it was raining and i had to drive over an hour to the dyno. Mods to the car were:

Gude cams, Skunk2 cam gears, stock header, 2.25" piping from header back to an Apexi N1 90mm muffler with a nasty hole in it (2"x1/4"), shot o2 sensor (new one comes in tomorrow), a hot air intake, msd sci-l, msd plug wires, msd coil, Apexi S-AFC, FPR with a leak due to a shot o-ring.

I have since then fixed my exhaust leak, put a new o-ring in my FPR and my new o2 sensor will be here tomorrow. Car will be re-dynoed in a few weeks with my car all fixed sporting my 16" Slipstreams. The torque will increase just by having more backpressure, but once it's re-dynoed I'll post of the chart for everyone.

I looked on hondaprelude.com and my car made some pretty good power compared to the other Si Preludes on there. Feel free to post up comments, questions, suggestions, etc. Thanks.

-Mike

Cams help out the torque, chips are a waste of money if you ask me. Get the basics i/e/h then get the cams, cam gears and an s-afc and have it tuned by a shop with a dyno. I gained 3.8 hp and 6.1 ft-lbs of torque just by tuning. Can't wait to see what the car will do when i redyno her with everything fixed.

You should get rid of your stock header. The stock h23a header is no where even near the quality of a DC. You'd get at least 5 whp out of a DC 4-2-1.

Well, his 14.5 to your 14.3 says alot.

VTEC is not overrated, it's just that the H23 is underrated.

that's there website, rates are awesome! Cost me $300 to have my cam gears and my s-afc installed and to have the entire car dynoed and tuned. It's $120 per hour to tune and $70 for 3 runs ... give them a call or email them. Great guys, know A LOT about cars!

Bought mine off a guy on HondaPrelude.com for $350 shipped, you really feel the difference above 5k, as for the idle is the same as stock.

nah, the dyno equipment is about 10 years old. I asked the guy and he told me what it was but I forget ... something on the dyno cuts in and out ... My car has a 1 month old: MSD SCI-L, MSD Plug Wires, MSD Baster 2 Coil. Bought a new cap, rotor and NGK spark plugs that day. Ignition is good =)

Oh.. If any VTEC Prelude would like to run, I'd be more than happy to. The 1/4 mile track near my house hosts an import night once a month called Club 1320. I would be more than happy to meet anyone from FL there to race. We can even video tape it and upload it to the website. The next one will be the second Friday in August I believe. Just pm me if you want to run.
