My DIY JDM red valve cover.

So I had alot of time yesterday (before it rained) I use VHT wrinkle paint ( 1 whole can should be enough , I used half of it ) I didn't thoroughly clean the valve cover , just wiped off the dirt. I sprayed it and left it alone for 2 hours and installed it with a new valve cover gasket. Before the paint soaks in with the valve cover , drive around for like 30 min or so. It'll bake right in with the valve cover.

Overall , much better than paying $170 for a new JDM red valve cover when you can spend only $12 for a can. Let me know what you guys think.

Sweet! Time to start experimenting with my extra one!
Did you take the DOHC VTEC or just sand it when it dried?

wow, that looks incredible. Where did you get it at? I'm about to re-wrinkle paint my valve cover. The bare aluminum is getting old, it soaks up anything you happen to get on it.

Good job! The paint color is a little too dark though. I used VHT paint for my brake caliper and it's a lot brighter.

I just bought a used (supposedly almost perfection condition) Neuspeed FSTB and expecting to receive today. I'm thinking about painting it (it's black like yours) with red. What do you guys think? I'd like to keep Neuspeed name, but it will be hard to mask it to exclude the black paint within "N E U S P E E D".

It's my camera , If you see it in person , it looks just like the JDM one.

It'll be kinda hard....But I would give it a try anyway. It'll match the car

Could buy a NEUSPEED decal to put on after you spray that bar.
