you can make it fit in your "dummy buttons" in your console, just align it exactly in the middle of one and crazy glue it. That's where mine is.

the white/yellow one for memory.

To make sure the sensor works I just watched how the air mix motor behaved under different temperatures.
Like in early morning being cold, just raising the temp a couple of degrees should make it move progressively as to opening the heater doors..
In a hot afternoon, it won't even move the doors until you set the unit for full hot -32 degrees.

the wht/yel one on the JDM unit is the memory, but is it the same for the stock headunit? cuz i just tapped into that harness' wht/yel wire and it did the exact same thing as the cig. lighter wire that i had it tapped into before.....
it will keep the settings for like 1 min. then after that it goes to the 25 like it always starts off at......

grrrr why is memory giving me sucha hard time??
ps. is there any reason why some parts of the display should be appearing / disapearing whenever i press other buttons?

for instance sometimes when i press a button, my blower controls just vanishes.... will memory hopefully solve that?

It looks like the memory wire isn't connected because even without the memory wire mine would keep it settings for a few minutes
after I turn the car off. Maybe check to make sure you don't have a bent or broken pin on your unit.

The only time stuff disappear on my unit is when I press auto or off, on auto only the temperature is on the display.

can anyone do a write up on how to make your own power transistor. I can't find one and I have heard I can just make one with simple radio shack stuff. or if anyone had a spare I would rather get the real thing. thanks
