MY cruise control is acting up on me..

Lately when I'm on the freeway and I hold the little button that
activates the cruise(on the steering wheel) and let go, it will not
ingage. I will try over and over and after about 10min it will come
on finally.

Any guesses as to what could cause this?
What should I check, is the switch electric or mechanical that sets it?

Thanks

Make sure the master cruise control button is on. I have made this simple mistake in the past. I really thought that the system developed a fault, when all along, the reason it wasn’t working was because the master switch wasn’t on.

Also, it is “engage, not “ingage.

I dunno, but mine used to do that occasionally if I hadn't used it in a while.

Are you getting any codes? It might be your speed sensor. It's on the back of your tranny. Check the wiring clip on it and make sure it's plugged in good.
