Ya my 93 prelude si when i start it up it goes right away to about 3.5rp, and then goes back sown to about 1.5rpm's sr so and i laive in nebraska and the car i got it from texas this summer and it has never beeen though a winter and i dont know if this is the problem or if something in my engine needs replaced. IT never does this in the summer of fall and i dont know what to do. If anyone can help me with this i woulfd like your help alot.

My 93 Si does something like that when it's extremely cold out too. I think it's just the weather.

Its probably just your cold start idle. Mine never goes that high, but then again... I do live in SoCal. Your car is just trying to warm itself up quicker due to the cold weather.

ya i have the same thing happen it warmed up here to like 60 or so the other day and it wasnt doing it and now we are back below freezing and its doing it again

is it goin to hert my car though and someone said that it is my throttle body and that i need to replace that b/c he was haveing the same problem with his accord and to u think i should do that or what
