My brakes suck ALSO!

Preyluder89, I have the same problem that you do with the brake pedal sinking all the way down.Ssometimes when I'm at a red light for example.. it'll slowly sink to the floor. This is dam annoying!

But, that's not all! My ABS light always turns on 15 secs after I start my car up...and it's 'cause my ABS modulator died..
I was one of the unlucky ones...I swear the day I brought my car down from San Antonio the problem started happening. The modulator thingy is located at the top left under the hood. The mechanic determined the problem by starting my car up and noticing that the pump isn't running like it should be.
$1200 to replace and another $300 for the labor..

Oh well, I guess no ABS brakes for me...

why make a new topic about it? I'm guessing it was an accident and you mean't to add it to an different topic.

Sorry to hear you're having the same problem as me, even though my ABS light doesn't come on, so I guess you're worse off.

because it's a thread with no point. Hopefully it will get locked because it is just wasting space. Better yet, why don't you just delete it now that you admittedly made a mistake. Thanks

Easy slo mo. Obviously you've never had a problem with your car that you wanted to get fixed. He could've said all this in my thread, but my thread is dead now, and it wouldn't have gotten any traffic, so he started a new one, so that hopefully, he would get helpful replies, and not ones that have no effect on the question at hand.

What is there to answer?

He said he had the exact same problem that you had with your car...soft brake pedal. In your "dead" thread which is still on the first page of this forum, the solution was given to first try to rebleed your brake lines and if that doesn't work you should try to replace your master brake cylinder. He also said his ABS light was coming on and that was because his ABS modulator was dead. Solution, go to your local mechanic (I prefer Honda) and tell them what your brake pedal is doing (soft feel and goes to ground)and you ABS light goes on. tell them that you think it might be air in the lines or your MBC and that your ABS modulator is dead. This will give the tech's a great place to start looking and you'll get your car running A1 again. If you don't want to spend the money on bringing your car to a shop, buy a helms and rebleed your brakelines, replace your MBC and fix/replace your ABS modulator.

Just because he makes a new thread doesn't mean that people will come up with better answers. That is the beauty of the SEARCH function, you can search for the answers to your questions rather than asking the same ones from 2 days ago.

Sorry if it sounded like I was being an a$$hole...my appologies.

If the pedal sinks as you describe you need a new cylender the one that deals with the brakes, slave cylender I think.

It's probably the Master, not the slave. That's what I'm gonna replace.

Well, I'll try, but that's only because I'm broke! Hopefully, I don't wait too long and run into the back of someone.

I'm having the same problem with braking sinkin down all the way. at first you pump couple time, it will come back up, then it 'll go down again. It's your brake master cylinder. Cause around $70~$80 at autozone or orailly. or should cause around $200 to do it in brake shop.

I'm not gonna buy anything from autozone to put on my car, except maybe the Sylvania Superstar headlight bulbs. I'll get my mechanic to order me one from Honda at wholesale price.
