My baby got hurt today!!

OMG

WTF

were my first words today when i came to a local repair shop to pick up my car

my car was in the shop because it failed air care (smog testing here in vancouver, bc)

the shop recomemended that i get a new cat and O2 sensor since they were still the originals that came with the car...so i said yeah sure change it

my bro picked me up from work and drove me to the shop...everything is lookin good so far...then i do my usual walk around...everything is fine on the passenger side...then the driver side is another story...my driver side door is messed up...the bottom is all screwed...i asked what happened and they said they dropped my car off the hoist when they were lowering it...i was shocked and angry...

the mechanic said that my car was too low and it was my fault...so i was like i provided the wood blocks for some aid to lift up my car...it should be of no or little trouble

the shop is goin to fix the door free of charge...i am glad of that, but i am still angry about what happened...i'm gonna talk a walk now and vent out my frustrations

haven't driven my baby for 4 days now and i miss her

Be glad you got the shop to pay for it.

This is the reason why I do all the work on my car.

Sorry to hear about your car. How high did the car drop, do you know? I would get them to check your alignment as well.

the car fell off when the hoist was fully lowered...they used a jack to jack up one side then it slipped off

i would do the work on my own but i don't have the equipment and the gov't recommends that a certified "air care repair" center fix a car that has failed...sayin that they will be able to diagnose the problem faster and easier...also there are set guidelines on to how much the repair would be

i am glad that they confessed and are willing to pay for the damages
