is my 4th gen totaled?

so i let my friend drive my prelude....bad idea
he hit a tree doing about 35-45mph, amazingly he hit the tree on the right side so there was no damage to the engine or anything, it looks like all body, but some of the body under the right side of the hood...
does it look totaled? and if not around what price is the fix gunna cost?

look up your vehicle's blue book value; this will help you reach a conclusion. If it is totaled by an insurance company it will be because the estimated cost of repair is greater than the estimated fair market value of the vehicle (minus damage of course).

its free at most places to get an estimate done. too hard to tell with those pics... i wouldnt say its totaled but its too hard to tell what kind of damage was done to that fender wall.

looks like your screwed... I just went through this so I know how bad it sucks. I hit a guy doing about 30 and it totaled my 93..... had the radiator support not been bent I would have been fine. with your windshield cracked it looks like it buckled the car.....

a tree sucks the worst cause there is no give whem you hit it

i would say that you need to see it the frame is bent, and if it is how bad, but before you write it off, get an estimate, cause it doesn't look awful, you get a nice guy he might do you a favor to try to win you over, my gues is that if it is only what you can see and no other stuff about 1.2-1.5k, if he's nice

i have one question that will really help me, a guy looked at it, and he said the piece of what i think is the body (he said is frame) were the fuse box is hooked to, is that the frame or the body? and is it easy to replace or a pain in the @$$?

Sorry off subject.. I just noticed that you have p185/70 r14's on there.. may i ask why you have steel 14inch rims instead of stock 15's?? Im looking for some prelude stock rims cause i bought car with sr racing 17's and they arent in to good of shape.. But now to get on subject someone backed into me and cracked front bumper in half just like that and it bent the hood up. Same time it made me back into pole behind me hit on back left corner and my back bumper sags like that just like yours but i had no taillight dmg.. It was about 11-1500 dollars worth of damage and keep in mind i had NO fender damage only hood and bumper.. Oh and no frame damage to make it worst i have black replacement hood and bumper put on that dont fit exacly the same but not bad only noticeable really really close. Now i need a paint job.. I would get a estimate on the dmg before making any decisions if i were u..
