My 0-60 is still slow!!!

Well, i am good with a stick now and i can get 8 sec instead of 9 now. But still, its a 4ws si model. I thought it was suppose to be 7 sec!!!! I asked a tech what was wrong, he told me it's cause of the high miles, i have 112,000. Anyways my previous prelude i crashed felt alot faster and it was a 92 si with non 4ws. Anyways, does the 4ws slow your car down??

well it has a big ass computer in the boot but it shouldnt, i think stock from wheels magazine it was clocked at 8.3seconds to 60mph for the manual model (92 si 4ws)

I have an auto and have gotten 8.5, I think 7seconds is asking a bit much but with the right mods Id say it is possible.. high mileage does count, I have 186,000k's not miles and I have noticed that my engine isnt as strong.. maybe cos I have driven it to strong in the past or it needs a good service

at the end of the day if you thrash your car the engine will get tired but if you drive it like grandpa service it regularly it will stay in top notch condition

4ws slows doesnt slow you down that much, it would be like the difference between a fat person and a skinny person driving. Your motor is just garbage

A stock SI wont do it in 7 secs no matter how good you drive stick.
118 kw + 1290kg kerb weight + 70 - 100 kg for the driver = 8 secs. Add more for high mileage.

lol my UK 2.0i non vtec pulls 7.9 to 60. A vtec lude should pull about 6.5 seconds (JDM) UKM vtecs are about 7.0 secs. 8 seems slow to me, check your compression. Is your exhuast blowing?

Car and Driver got 7.2 seconds. You either A) have a crap motor. B) Still haven't learned how to drive stick well (I think it may be this coming int0o play, you can't master driving stick in a few weeks) or C) Time yourself inaccurately.

How are you timing yourself?
