the replica i had was fibglass reienforce plastic, and it had a no drill kit so you could clamp it to the sides of the lid, it also had a spot for the mugen emblem but no emblem, and i got it new
1) Does that mean the REAL one is made of ABS plastic?
2) Does the replica come with gray double-sided tape on the (3) legs?
3) Does the replica one come with metal bracket clips?
4) How's the fitment for the replica?
Thanks!!!
based on the one on my lude:
1. i believe the real one is made of abs as well. i assume this because the bumper is made of abs
2. mine (taken off another lude) came with the foam double sided tape stuff on all three of the legs (corners and center)
3. i got these "u" shaped clips that clip the spoiler on to the trunk
4. i dont know about this one since ive got the real one, but the fitment is 100% perfect (for oem). unfortunately if you have an oem spoiler, the mugen wont cover up the holes, so youre better off wielding and painting or trading for a non spoiler trunk.

if you need any pics let me know.
i have seen genuine ones that are chipped and cracked and i can tell you that the wing is NOT abs plastic, but most likely FRP...

i was actually removing the old emblem just now (cuz whoever had it before decided to paint over the nice mugen emblem with red paint..ugh..) and i noticed a chip in my spoiler. I looked closer and noticed that it didnt look like the abs material from the front bumper. more like what you described.
It came with dark green/black U-shaped clips with tiny allen screws.
It also has (2) long flat metal brackets (also the same color) screwed into the
(2) outer legs (3 screws each side). This bracket is used to clip on the u-shaped clips.
They did indeed have the gray foam double-sided tape on all (3) legs.
The wing body itself is light and durable and really well-made but feels hollow and somewhat plastic-like.
It didn't come with an emblem but one does look like it had been there.
Can anyone take up close pics of their REAL ones.
I'm assuming this is indeed the REAL one since I paid a pretty penny for it and everything seems to match up to what the REAL one is supposed to be like compared to the replica.
I'm just checking to be absolutely sure that this is the right one, considering I got this straight from Japan off of a BB1 lude.
Thanks!

go to this website. they have an authentic wing for sale. they have some up close pics on the logo on the part that is listed as the mugen front bumper, side skirts, and rear spoiler for sale. it is under the used jdm parts link. hope this helps.

You hit it on the spot dude. That's how i would describe mine, and mine I know is authentic.
here's a pic of my spoiler, from when i first got it. I ended up repainting it since then, but just so you can see.
and if you need it a pic of the bumper
the sideskirts i havent put on because i dont care much for them, but if you need a pic of those, let me know.
i just got a new camera, so i'll take some new pics (i've done some minor changes like repainted the grill and nostrils, etc.) . i'll probabely post in the members ride section later on.
i have the clear lense, b/c its a jdm option, they are called "spot-lights" or "boulevard lights"... im trying to look for clear lenses with an orange bulb oem stanley.
