while i can see a good reason not to post ebay links, pretty much the only rule against posting ebay links is if its your own auction (thats what i understood the rules to be, correct me if i'm wrong) because we post other auctions all the time (to either make fun of or show some new part). i just saw from HT that there is a new 4 lug to 5 lug spacer that isn't too expensive and looks pretty decent if you want to have a quick 5 lug conversion. i would have been a little less knowledgable had it not been for that one post.

but it is the internet and its not like you are one of the only ppl looking at that particular item. its ebay you get lucky sometimes and you don't. everyone also knows these super rare items around quickly and always commend a price.

but at the same time, by posting such items, you take away the advantage that some people have earned by surfing ebay frequently and efficiently.....

we are getting OT but i'll offer you this:

there are type 1/type 2 "problems".

we usually think in type 1 problems because it seems most direct. in this case, its bad for the ppl actually wanting the item. type 2 problem is that is good for original seller to get a better price. i mean you personally have alot of real good prelude parts and i know you would much rather it be spread all over the net than limited to a few forum ppl.

anyways enough of that i'm just trying to provide the other side of the equation

i agree with u 100%...ive seen myself on both sides on the equation in many instances...in this particular case, i dont really care for this item, so i dont care that someone has posted it...matter of fact i saw this item a few minutes after it was listed...but maybe some time in the future u will see yourself on the other side as well and then you will what i mean...

added: who's to say that the OP isnt the same person selling the part? we may never know becuase not everyone uses the same username...that is why i believe that these threads do no good for anyone here...
