Ok SO I ordered my mugen fan switch for my bb1 94 prelude.
Well on King's webpage it states 92+ prelude.
Anyways I got the part number
37773-xgmr-0000
This switch did NOT fit my 4th gen prelude. In the little spec sheet they send with you, its all japense writing but I can make out it sais
PRELUDE TYPE S, SIR [BB6/BB8]
Does not mention bb1. the fanswitch is too small.. Just a warnign to anybody wanting to get this fanswitch for a bb1 prelude..
Now what should I do if i want a fanswitch? I know I can always bore my threads larger and fit another one in, but the bb6 on is just 2 small and I cant machine the hole smaller..

Apparently there was some problems with the earlier ones not fitting Preludes properly. When the part first became available, people were having to modify the hose necks. I THINK the problem was corrected, but you might have an "older version". I'm pretty sure Marcucci was the person modifying the hose necks, you might try contacting him. Also, there is numerous threads about this fan switch, you might search and see if any other 4g's did the install without any problems.
Well its either I plug that hole and get a machine shop to re-bore another hole.. Or just find a fan switch with a bigger thread so I can re-tap the current thread..
Hey, I was just seraching the threads on radiators here as I am still having an overheating problem after putting in the Mugen thermostat and fanswitch. I did notice on the instruction sheet that it says bb6/bb8 as well, but the threads screwed in fine for me? I noticed that the stock switch I had in there had a longer sensor or whatever it is that sticks in to the thermostat housing.
