Mugen Exhaust

Does anyone know if
Mugen Cat Back Exhausts for 92-96 Honda Prelude at Andy's Auto Sport
would fit on a fourth gen? I got to the link by going through fourth gen parts but the description says that its for 97-01 SH model

It won't bolt right in thats for sure. Might need to cut up and reweld some flanges as the exhaust systems have different lengths.

Might as well go with something cheaper that's plug and play

I would go with other exhaust companies, its just the I don't want the fart cannon sound if I do put on an exhaust. That's why I'm willing to spend more on it by going for Mugen. But since they don't make it for the 4th gen, I was wondering if it would be extremely difficult to customize it so it would fit for the 4th gen. And if a shop would most likely be willing to do so.

Go with RS*R Ex-Mag or an APEXI WS if you want it to almost sound stock..

I've had the RS*R exmag for about a year and a half and I couldn't be happier. Not only is it quiet at idle and cruising speeds but when you get on it, it is really something. Definitely not a tin can sound. This video seems like the best representation of the sound I hear when I'm driving. Though I am running with a high flow cat.

i have a tanabe super racing medallion, and though it has a reputation as being a loud exhaust (it is), it is nearly stock-quiet with the silencer on. i would think then, that most exhausts w/ n1 style muffler are fairly quiet w/ silencer.

i dont think the ex mag or ws2 are straight through mufflers, if that is concern for you.

if you are totally set on the mugen exhaust, it should be fairly easy to modify to fit a 4th gen. it needs to be cut shorter, and i think only 1 hanger needs to be moved.
