I don't think Mugen ever made a program for the H22. Correct me if I'm wrong...

this is a Mugen SPEC chip... not a real Mugen. The curious part is I also don't think Mugen made a chip.

hmm, mine i believe is Mugen Programmed.
It advanced my timing 2*. It got rid of that JMD govener. Also my fuel cut is over 9k. Feels good. I tried a stock ECU and it really felt slow.

Fuel cutoff at 9k eh?! That sounds nice and dangerous. I have yet to see a stock or near stock H22 even make power past 7500.

You can advance your timing yourself...that's what the screws on the distributer are for.... at least for us OBD-I guys

correct me if I'm wrong but, I was under the impression that only works if you do something so the ECU won't reset the dizzy. like you can re-adjust it and it'll be advanced until you turn it off but then it goes back to stock.

the only real reason i have the chipped ECU is because i got it cheaper then a stock p13, and the fact that the governer is gone so i can go over 118 or whatever?

Not if you trip the BLUE plug when you do it. It will stay at whatever you set it at. I used a paperclip for my ignition mod!

Mugen never had a H22 program, but Spoon did.

The rev limiter being high is not really a problem unless you just like going until the ECU cuts out or something. It wont help you on a mechanic overrev anyways so I dont really see the issue with it.

Mugen did indeed make an ECU for the H22, as did Spoon and a number of others. Most of them were unavailable new post 98/99, but they were still not hard to come accross.

As for the "mugen chip's" (and even other chips on ebay claiming to be Spoon, Jun, or whoever else), aftermarket chips have not been available by any of those companies.

I looked around a bit, for some old catalogs, but the oldest Mugen catalog I have is a 2000. This was something I caught on Checker Flag (and maybe the old Takakaira, before they changed their site in 99) years back. If I can find something (or I could just be nuts) I'll post it up.

It's kinda like when people don't believe me when I say that Mugen made a 5 way adjustable coilover kit for the BB1/4 BA8/9 chassis (part number 50000-xg6-k0s0, by the way)
