MSD SCI-L on 93 H23a1

I have everything hooked up but the purple/green wires. Where do these go on a 93 h23a1. It is a MSD SCI-L . Thank you to any/all who reply.

Hey Nestor, doesn't it show you on the back of the unit where those wires go? Tell me where it says they need to go and I will try to help you figure out where they hook up to.

I believe those are the wires that you don't use, try to start it and find out if it runs.

re did connections, still won't turn over ... have it hooked up as follows (got this from Brady on hp.com)

Thick RED - Positive on battery
Thick BLK - Ground

Small Orange - Positive on MSD Coil
Small Black - Negative on MSD Coil

Small RED - goes to black wire that went to the stock ignition coil
Small WHT - splies to both wires left, BLUE / YELLOW

this is what I have done, and it will not turn over ... any thoughts? On the bottom of the SCI is says to run the small RED wire to a switched 12V Source and to run the white wire to "points or amplifier output (connects to yellow wire of timing accessories)

so should I splice the thin red wire into say my cig lighter or radio switched 12 v's and the white wire to just the yellow wire from the stock coil harness?

Well I removed the SCI-L, hooked the BLK/YEL wire up to the positive on the coil and the BLU & YEL wires from the STOCK COIL harness up to the negative on the MSD Blaster 2 Coil, and the car started right up. I'm asuming that I have a faulty ignition.. so I'll give MSD a call and see if they can fix it ... Thanks for your help!

I mounted mine inside the car right next to my ecu, looks good too bad it doesn't work. I gets sent back to MSD this week, and I should have it back within 2 weeks.

I've had it there for 4 months. No problems. I am going to put a rubber insulator between the bracket and the MSD to gaurd against vibration just in case. Heat is not a facotr when it comes to MSD ignition boxes

Phamine you gotta tell me how you mounted it right there. That may be my only spot with space in the engine bay. Did you custom fabricate a bracket??

PLease share the info I need to know step by step how you did it

Hey machinehead,

Yes I custom fabricated it. I had use of my dad's machine shop which has a sheet metal stamper(sp). It took me 10 minutes to make. If you want one made, send me an email and I'll see if I can make one for you. The piece is made from polished stanless steel as well.
