MSD SCI Ignition

i got my buddies SCI from a trade. i just have the SCI ignition box, now what else do i need when i get this installed? can someone give me a list of the things that need to be included for the full ignition upgrade. like wires, plugs etc. i know it doesnt really gain HP's but i might as well install it than let it sit in the garage. also what are other benefits of upgraded ignition?

If you don't already have them, you'll need some new, wider diameter spark plug wires to handle the increased electrical output of the MSD box, you'll probably want some better spark plugs (Bosch Platinums, etc), and a new MSD coil. Your stock coil will hold for a while, but you might as well upgrade to the performance coils offered by MSD (like the SS Blaster coil, Blaster 2 or 3 coil, etc), and that's about it.

In terms of benefits, you'll notice better gas mileage; my mileage per tank increased about 25-30 miles per tank, which of course is always a good thing. The ignition system upgrade will also quicken your throttle response a bit. Other than that, they aren't really known to do much more. I've heard that the more mods you have done to your engine, the more you'll notice the upgrade??? I'm talking about forced induction, etc. I hope this helps.
