Motor Mount Questions........................

Just got some extra cash and I decided to replace my motor mounts. When I did the engine swamp form h23 to euro-r I was dead broke. I decided to put the old ones back but they were all broke and old. Which brings me to the question how much will all the motor mounts cost? And does my car loss power if the motor mounts are in bad conditions? Any help and advice will be very appreciated thanx

ok here goes, new motor moutns are fairly expensive. what the two above me are referring to, are motor mount inserts. they are made of a high durometer polyurethane (wont bend easily). what these do is slide into your brokeass motor mounts. they significantly reduce wheelhop and give an overall better feel of the engine due to the lack of movement. the only problem i noticed was a slightly rougher idle which was horrible the first day they were put in, but now is barely noticeable (1 week later ) if you do get them jeremy did an excellent write-up
which you can find HERE which is still not FAQ'd

Agreed. I paid 40bux CDN for my engine mount inserts (energy suspension).

I drove ancients car with them, its a much rougher idle than stock but once you even give it a touch of gas it goes away and smooths out .. I'm removing my balancer belt as well so .. we'll see how that works too ...

As for engine mounts, have you checked hondaautmotiveparts.com ?

i got a front motor mount off ebay for 27.00 dollars ( buy it now). he is a retailer and if you contact him i'm sure you can get all of the ones you need.

I wouldn't use the inserts with a broken mount, you're basically putting a band aid on the problem. ES recommends replacing worn mounts when installing the inserts.
