motor knocking! HELP

my motor is making a knocking sound. does anyone have a clue what it could be? i've heard it could be rods, piston slap, timing tensioner, etc. I would like some opinion of ppl that actually know about these cars. here is a video of the noise it is making.

I had a spun rod bearing once that sounded like that, change your oil and look for metal on the drain plug and in the oil. The shop i went to dropped my whole oil pan and handed me a bunch of shaved metal out of it, i am no expert and it could be something completely different so go get it checked.

Lol, it means new motor. Unless your the type that can pull your engine, break it down to the block, take out the pistons so you can get the crank refinished if it isnt scored to bad on the spun bearing part and put it all back togather with a new bearing. But if you gonna do all that you might as well replace piston rings maybe get your walls done up and replace all your seals and other worn things while your down to the nitty gritty. No sweat yeah?

Don't answer that knock! Instead of spending money on getting your current motor diagnosed and fixed, you could put that money toward an H22A swap. I was in your shoes a few months ago and my motor went kablamo on the way to the shop to get it checked out. I didn't even bother having them do more than the simple diagnostics, I found a JDM H22A in my area and hauled it to the shop. I also got the drive side axle, all the gaskets and seals, and the belts changed as well. Rides better than when I bought it with 19k miles.
