motor codes for a 92 si

just wondering what it is.. my friend told me its a SI.. no vtec... can you guys give me all the motor codes... he says its h22 but i dont really trust him...

If it's a 92, it's not VTEC unless he's done a motor swap. The 92 Si had the H23A1 DOHC non-VTEC in it.

okay.... so all h22 are vtec ? thats what i thought.. but i dont own a 92 SI... i just know all 5th gen have vtec

92-96 came with 3 different types of motors...F22, H22, and H23 the H22 started in 93 in the states

cool... if h22 start in 93 then i just won me $100.... cause my friend claims that his bro 92 lude is a h22 w/ no vtec...

what the difference between the horses in an H22 vtech and an h23 non-vtech?

The H22 VTEC has 190 HP, the H23 NON-VTEC has 160HP. I feel the H22 is slightly overrated and the actual HP is more in the mid 180s.
