Moroso Oil pan? I need some input....

Hello,
I did an engine swap and my new pan is really beat up. I am also getting a turbo. So I was thinking of upgrading to the Moroso oil pan. I am not sure tho. http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?catcode=11111
That is the url, scroll down and the pan is there. Just seeing if any one has usedor heard about them.
Thanks,
Josh

hmm i;ve heard of them....

...but i don't know how reliable they are, no too many people buy from them, if you're looking for an oil pan why don't you try Mugen?
they have IMO a better rep by far and are known to have quality products, i just don't know about Moroso, anyways you can check out Mugen Baffled Oil Pans at www.kingmotorsports.com its under Prelude, DUH!
good luck,
Jose

Moroso has a super reputation. I was looking into on of those pans as well, just as a replacement. I'd go for it.

go for it!

we had one on a mazda 12a that we ran in the twisties. rotaries need oil mixed with the fuel and stavation in the twisties is a common thing with them. the baffles are great for preventing aeration and keeping the oil within reach of the pickup.

i've wanted to get one for my car but i can't justify the cost right now. have other priorities ya know? not car related so...

but moroso pans are everywhere. they DO have a good reputation. whoever says otherwise only sees or knows about some of their products which are in fact made of ass. every company has those.

moroso is one of the leading names for oil pans rite now. if i had to choose one i would go with theirs. as for mugen, even if you ever do find a mugen oil pan, it'll cost an arm and a leg, especially from king motorsports. definitely not worth what you'll pay for it...

Yeah, Mugen=$$$$$.

I don't recall seeing Mugen have an oil pan, but the cost will definitely be ridiculous.

I remember awhile back some guys doing a groupbuy on the Moroso oil pans right when they came out and they didn't fit. I think they were fifth gen guys, and this might not apply to us. This was around a year ago, and hopefully they fixed this.

yea the h series pans took forever to come out but what was the complaint on the g5 pans jp? might be the exhaust clearance?

It was definitely a clearance issue, but I can't remember with what. People were complaining it didn't fit

ok well clearance...there's only 2 things that come close to the oil pan...downpipe and the subchassis crossmember. maybe morroso designed their pan off of a g4 and thought since g5 is also h22 that there would be no problem. but i seem to recall reading somewhere that the downpipes aren't interchangeable between g4/g5.

either way shouldn't be a problem for us g4's
