Modified Muffler - Honda Prelude Forum

Ok I live in maryland and Ive never heard this **** before....but i just put a new muffler on my lude cuz the old one got a hole in it had it done from the cat back...the cats still on and it passes emisions ......but i got stopped and fined by a cop and given a repair order for it being to loud and supposedly not aloud to modify any muffler on my car other than stock .....is that some bull**** or what...the cop is trying to tell me im not aloud to have any muffler on there thats not stock...........FU$% that

he can totally suck mine........does anyone know anyting about this like whether he is right or not ?

depending on some states, it might not be allowed..but try going to the library and search the rules about it for maryland...if its the rule, then you're screwed...

In VA, i got stopped for having an expired registration, the cop gave me a ticket for that and a warning for my exhaust, i have a dcsports catback, i was like "its 50 state legal and has a CARB #" but he says anything louder than a stock exhaust is illegal in VA.. i think thats some BS im just glad my lude is not a daily driver... and also i dont see too many mustangs with the loudass flowmasters getting pulled over(even tho that V8 glurgling noise is more annoying than anything), they just picking on us imports because were faster
