3.5 hours isn't too bad. The dismanteling and reassembly of the dash seems like it would take longer.

The car is going to look great Dave, I'll bet your glad you kept the 4th gen and sold the 5th gen!

My splitters are actually made of urethane, just like the bumper. I wanted something with a bit of flex to it so I had them made to match the flexibility of the bumper. After I received them from the shop, I filled in all the dimples, painted them with about 5 coats of automotive flat black and then put about 5 coats of clear on them.

Not quite CF but I like the look.

darn, man. How can you tease me like that. I was definately going to find that speedo. Im getting sick of not knowing how fast im going after 140. But if its KM then its worthless. DO they make a Speedo that goes past 140mph?

Yep this speedo will ago above 140mph, how accurate it is I dnt know. In the 2nd to last picture you can see the conversion 'box' (Its a small package with a few wires) on top of the dash.

AFAIK this is accurate, can't tell you though till I do a top speed run, from what I can gather from my friend, he has a JDM lude, it is accurate

ds.. that box you're talking about, that's the inverter for the gauge lighting.. it's not a "conversion box". Your speedo will only go up as high as mine will, but yours will read in KMPH.

My friend seemed pretty sure that was the conversion box as it intercepts the signal and converters it. It is definately MPH, at 5000rpm in 5th the guage reads 100mph, both needles pointing north.

Since sorting my suspension the car has felt smooth, I was unsure that 60mph was reading correctly, so I had my girl follow me in her new car and sure enough 60mph was spot on.

The donar car was a JDM lude converted for the UK market.

Your talking about that little black thing on top of the cluster in one of the pics right? How can I get one of those? I would love to have those gauges, that are very pretty.

Yep thats the one.

I can try and find one for you. Can't really promise anything

It maybe worth you dropping an email to these:

http://www.japanesecarimporters.com/ or
http://www.prestigeimports.co.uk

They are pretty big importers, I'll ask a friend as well though.

I maybe able to find you a JDM cluster with the box already attached if the worse comes to the worst. Don't think they are cheap though I landed on my feet when I bought mine, paid £70 ($110ish) for the whole dash inc the loom
