misfiring

so far on my prelude..... i installed some aem cam gears. After installing the gears, the engine light was gng off. I checked everything and moved the fuel rail and that stopped the check engine. after that, i installed some dc headers and the chek light come on, AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the car felt weak, it would barely peel out. Also it felt as if it was taking forver to respond when i would step on the pedal.... It seems as if it lost power!!! It stalled 3 times yesterday and finally gave up on me! It wont turn on like it used to, now i have to give it a lot of gas. (after 4 days from puting the the headers my car) It started to misfireing......... i cheked the spark plugs, wires, intake system also fuel pump and fuel filter AND distributor!!! im wondering if its the injectors that arn't working or whats gng on????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im stressing out!!!!!!!!!!

help please

And uh, maybe check the code this time, that way you can find the problem not just "move the fuel rail"
PULL THE CODE!!!

Don't do that. You are wasting your money.

Just take it easy on the car and quit "barely peeling out" until you have time to pull the CEL code. Nobody is going be able to tell you what is wrong with the car from the very limited amount of information you have given us to work with.

the less you beat on your car the longer it will last. i learned from experience. although it was a crappy little 1.5 civic dx i beat the living hell outta it and i ended up destroying 3rd gear.

Yes that is a total waste to put in a bottle every time you fill up the car. If you really feel the need for it you should use it a couple times a year at the most. Even then any advantage of using it is debatable.

As for what we need, that would be the CEL. That has already been said more than once. Sounds like your car is in limp mode and the CEL would probably give a reason for it.

If you don't have time to pull the code yourself, go to your local autozone and have them do it for you. At least were I live they do it for free, and it only takes a few minutes.

Seriously, if you don't have time to pull the code following these EASY instructions: How To Diagnose Engine Error Codes For Your Honda Prelude

Then what does it matter what it might be?

It could be the TPS, ICM, MAP, or any number of other things. This thread is full of fail.

uh. well i bought it not knowing how to drive a standard. drove on a burnt out clutch for 2 years and it destroyed 3rd. also didnt help the fact that i was always doing rollbacks and pushed to car past redline numerous times to get the car to 120. haha. i just got rid of it in june. and in a couple months im buying another 95 civic. haha. i am keeping the prelude tho. kinda need a 4 door for my daughter being born on september 2nd, 2009 by c-section. yay.
