Misfire/ Hesitation

The 92 S is acting up. I just replaced the main relay, timing belt and balance shaft seal. The previous owner replaced the distributer, cap and igniter. The problem is when the car is warm and under load it feels like its misfiring and bogging. Any Ideas? thanks

Could also possibly be your Ignition Control Module (ICM) inside the distributor going bad or the wiring is loose. Pop the cap off and check that the wires are on the module snugly. Are you getting any erratic tachometer readings when your driving; like all the sudden the tach will jump a little or stick for a second?

I had the erg replaced by that extended warranty for free, that solved the problem. Any Honda dealer will do it

it's the module (ignitor) inside the distributor. you may be able to find a cheap one on ebay...

Honda Accord Civic Prelude CRX Distributor Ignitor:eBay Motors (item 200353959128 end time Jul-17-09 19:55:50 PDT)

that may not be the one for the car, but it looks just like that

As I stated before... If you are having hesitation and your tach is jumping, it is the ICM inside the distributor. It could be fried or the wiring could be loose. Take off your distributor cap and check it out.

I had the same problem years ago; Tach messed up + insane hesitation at random times. ICM sounds like your culprit. Real easy fix.
