in the middle of timing belt swap

need to make sure that when the white mark on the flywheel matches up with the pointer that it happens twice for each revolution of the no 1 cylinder.

In other words- we put belt on with everything TDC. then we move the pulley counter clock wise and my dad said he see's the mark but the cam shafts are facing south instead of north. so we do another revolution 180 degrees and he sees the line. this is ok right?

I just want everything to be TDC if you know what I mean

I think you need to make 1/2 revolution of the cams to make 1 ervolution of the flywheel - so you should be fine.
