master brake cylinder going out, what should i replace it with?

i need to replace my master brake cylinder, should i get an OEM one or one from autozone?

go for the autozone one...not that much difference between the quality and should be alittle cheaper than going through Honda

pedal sinks.
like you push down with a certain force and it stops. if you master cylender is going out and you are still pushing on the pedal it will slowly go down to the floor. when it gets really pad you have to pump the brake pedal to get the brakes to work well.

what about when you brakes constinintenly squeak all the time.... i thought this was another sign because there isnt enough brake pressure

Go for the VTEC master cylinder, for more force...
Since I've done the VTEC caliper swap, I'll be doing this when my cylinder starts to crap on me.

Squeaking is not caused by a faulty master cyl. This is uaually caused by using inferior non-genuine brake pads. Also it can be caused by a build up of brake dust from the pads. Try hosing them off now and again.

If its a case of your pedal gradually going to the floor, your seals in the MBC are going bad and simply need to be replaced . The seal kit may cost about $20.00 from your honda dealer
