Massive oil leak at high rpm. 92 h23a1 - Honda Prelude Forum

I recently purchased a 92 h23a1 and the guy I bought it from had just done a top end rebuild. Most of the work was alright im not losing any compression or anything. However, theres oil leaking like a ***** between the block and the firewall. Im pretty sure theres an oil filter or oil pump right there (?) i found an o-ring sitting in a puddle of oil on the motor. We lifted it on a rack and checked out the bottom of the engine and halfway up the engine next to the firewall in the center theres a thick hose and above that at high rpms you can see the oil spraying out like a fountain. Just looking for some insight.

Oil cooler O-ring.

its in an area that you cant see without a mirror. looking like i may have to remove the intake to get to it. still sound like the oil cooler? just curious

If it's around the oil filter, yes. But how you describe it, it sounds like it's higher up. Worst case, it's the head gasket... If you could take a picture to pinpoint excactly where, that would be helpfull.
