Well, apparently Toyota and Chevrolet has an agreement to sell Right Hand Drive versions of Chevrolet Cavaliers and rebadge them as Toyota Cavaliers. There are a few other differences as well, but most are cosmetic as of the last time I read about them. Does TRD make parts for them? The only thing I heard of was a body kit, but I havent kept up with whats going on with Cavaliers for some time now.
I haven't kept up with it either. Toyota Cavalier just doesn't sound right. But if they found a way to drop in a 2JZ-GTE, I don't know if I would show respect or cry. Probably cry.

Last year at NOPI, there was a Cavalier that had molded on a Civic front bumber, Integra back bumper, and other things. For the price it took to have these things done, he could've bought a damn Civic or Teg.

This is true.

Toyota and GM have had agreements in the past for combining efforts on cars. I think Geo Prism might ring a bell to some...

Anyway. It's the same way that Pontian is selling this new "Vibe" as their own. There's a whole different plant dedicated to producing the "collaboration" cars.

I guess it pays to be a Toyota mechanic once in a while
