main relay bad?

well the problem with my car is what everyone is describing as the fuel main relay problem. same symptoms with the car not idling and just stalling out especially when its hot. also it wont start all the time when its hot. but mine does it when its cold also. but just not nearly as often. but i hav already replaced my fi-main relay. So is it the fuel pump or what?

I am having the same problem and was told it was the igniter. Going to replace that this weekend so hopefully the problem will clear up after that.

if your car won't start when it's hot outside i know that's one thing that means ur main relay is going.

i just replaced mine about a month 1/2 ago. car would start np when it was cold but once it got hot out... it wouldn't start until i let the main relay cool off for a few mins. Then would start no problem.

i would replace the main relay then work from there. =)

I second that - main relay. If you're not lucky, it might be time to also inspect your fuel pump if you have a decent amount of mileage on your lude...

yea i replaced my main relay about a year ago and it didnt solve the problem thats why i thought it was the fuel pump. but i thought it was only the fuel pump when there was not a lot of gas in the car? and i do hav 135K on miles. anyone know for sure?

Igniter, if you already replaced your main relay, then I would bet money on your igniter being bad.

I have the same problem and was told it was not the fuel pump, that once your fuel pump goes out, then it goes out. Honda told me that the fuel pump does not work sparaticly(sp), it either works or it doesnt.

$110-$120 from a Honda dealership. Perhaps if you shopped around a bit you could get a better price.
