Lugs just keep turning!!

So I'm needing new tires and i went to pull my rims off and all my lugs spin the bolts in the rotors! has this happend to any of you and can i pull the whole wheel and spindle if i disconnect the brakes?
I do have access to the spindle nut. if that will work i could weld or cut off the bolts from the backside. any sugg would be helpful.

I can't understand what you're talking about.

What does this mean: "my lugs spin the bolts in the rotors"

Are you saying the lug nuts just spin? Are the lug studs spinning?

No you can't pull the whole wheel and spindle off if you disconnect the brakes.

i'm confused too.. the stems are physically PART of the wheel hub.

Are you sure you're using the right size socket/tire iron? Are the lugs stripped?

sorry i was holding my daughter last post. if i take off the brakes from behind and unscrew the spindle nuts off all four spindles can i pull the whole wheel assembly off in one piece rotor, wheel, tire, bearing all that stuff at the same time? hope it makes more sense.
Then i would have access to the back side of the studs if they are in fact the hammer in type so i could cut them off?

i'm pretty sure to replace lug bolts by the book you have to pull the whole knuckle out. As for removing in one whole piece..... dunno

na you can pull the hub off of the axle, i had one of my lugs do the same thing, the stud is probably stripped where the splines are. just take apart the brake caliper and remove the large center axle nut and take the wheel+hub off. what we did to get it out was tack weld the backside of the stud to the hub to hold it still and just went back and forth with air gun to break the stud and then just took an angle grinder to shave away the weld+stud.

Wait you can't pull the knuckle out if you just remove the axle nut and the caliper. I'm not even sure there's enough room to get the caliper free with the wheels on. Anyways the lower control arm ball joint needs to be unbolted if you want to get the knuckle swung out away from the axle.

Usually the nut is torqued on and stripped so when you try to take the nut off the stud the nut is stuck on from being stripped and the weak splines give in and get stripped when you try to take the nut off.
