Lug patterns that fit 4th gens

Well, i was going to purchase 18" Motegi Mr4s, off this dude with a 5th gen lude, and he said the lug pattern for the rims are 5x100, i know we're 4x100/4x114.3, is there anyway that they would fit i've done my searching on here, and nothing is really helpful... help me please.

Who ever you're buying it from doesn't know his lug pattern either. 5th gens have a 5x114.3. 4th gens are 4x114.3.. will not fit either way. Unless you do a conversion but it's not worth the time and money.

It would be the same amount of money just to convert than it would be to just buy some other rims.

4x100 will absolutely NOT fit on a 4th gen. They'll fit on many civics, but NO 4th Gen preludes.

Everyone here is correct, our cars have a 4x114.3 and that is the ONLY size that will fit.

we share lug paterns with many cars ex
94-97 accord
92-95 Acura legend
2000 Hyundai Sonata

a full lug swap would mean changing hubs, rotors, calipers, ect total cost around $900
95-98 altima

some rims from cars with 4x100 will fit because they also have the 4x113.4 pattern on them.

Nope, some JDMs had 4 bolt, but I'm not sure of the spacing between the bolts. I'd guess they are 4x100.

the 4x100 or 4x114.3 is a sizing.. 4 lugs and 100 millimeters between the opposing lugs. or 114.3mm between the opposing lugs. theres no way a 4x100 can fit a prelude. thats why rims will have 2 sets of lug patterns.. so the rims can be intergangable.

Really? The JDMs must be 4x114.3 then. Interesting to know. Too bad you can only get them from Japan, therefore, making them EXPENSIVE.

no, the first year of the ITR in the US was 97 and it had 5x114.3

there was NEVER a usdm itr with 4 lug

i think the 96 jdm itr had was the one that had the 4 lug wheels. and yes, they were 4x114.3....and yes, they are expensive as all hell

ok so its not a lude but you can barely tell from that close. the only thing is because of the offset they rubbed my caliper brackets ever so slightly. so I had to sand them down a little which is why its shiny. not sure if that would be a problem for the prelude. blackmagic has everything right but the 97 jdm was also 4x114.3

That is partly correct. The only reason that some rims from a car that has a 4 x 100 bolt pattern will fit on the 4th gen with 4 x 114, is very simple. Those rims have a universal 4 lug pattern (meaning that it has 8 holes on each rim) 4 are for 4x100 and the other 4 are f0r the 4x114

Other than that there is no way that a 5 lug will fit on a 4 lug mounting point. Not only for the obvious reason that 5 will not fit on 4.
